Professional Organisations

Most construction industry jobs have a professional organisation associated with them. In some cases you must be a member of the organisation before you can practice that particular branch of the construction industry. Membership criteria vary but the basic requirement is a degree in a relevant subject. This may give you graduate membership and with experience you can achieve a higher status of membership to reflect your increased knowledge and ability. Some organisations offer a student level of membership at reduced cost for those studying a recognised degree subject. This can give you access to useful information for your studies.
